Jordan to receive $ 100 million US grant to support State Budget

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jaafar Hassan and U.S. Ambassador to Jordan Stuart Jones announced today $100 million in new special economic assistance to help Jordan at this critical time.

The $100 million will be in direct budget support and will help the Government of Jordan as it works to address the strains on the national budget as result of the continuing effects of the global financial crisis







According to Jordan News Agency, the Minister said "the U.S grant comes in critical situations affect the State budget because of the ongoing of regional escalations and energy challenges facing the Kingdom."
