Meetings of Arab Economic Unity on June 7

The meetings of the Ministerial Council of the 94th session of the Arab Economic Unity will start on June 7 to be preceded by meetings of deputies of the permanent representatives of the Council member countries on 4 and 5 of the same month so as to arrange and prepare for the ministerial council’s meetings.   

The Secretary General of the Arab Unity Council Ambassador H.E Mohamed Mohamed El-Rabea said in a press statement that it is scheduled that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will take over the presidency of the new session after Yemen. He pointed out that the session will address many issues and proposals to support and develop trade and investment in the Arab world.

New session will cover issues related to trade growth, development, water security developments and the outlook for foreign investments in the Arab States, stressing that the session will discuss the Palestinian economic situation and economic development strategy of Gaza Strip.

The session’s agenda includes a display note by the Secretariat on proposal submitted by the Egyptian Electric Utility towards of a common Pan Arab Market for Electricity.
