Turkey to host ICCI’s General Assembly meeting

The Islamic Chamber of Commerce& Industry will hold its meetings of general assembly and board of directors in Istanbul- Turkey on 9-11 April, 2012. A great number of heads of federations of chambers of commerce in the OIC member countries in addition to various delegations will participate in these meeting.

The previous board of directors meeting decided to form a committee headed by Ahmad Al-Wakil, Vice President of ICCI and Chairman of the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce for the development of ICCI’ s Statute, achievement of economic integration among the OIC countries to increase the size of intra-trade among Muslim countries from about 12 % of their international volume to more than 25 % within 3 months as well as spread the opportunities of trade and investment through putting new mechanisms to accomplish these objectives.
