The Arab Monetary Fund extended $ 34 million loan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In a press release, the Fund said that giving the loan was under agreement signed by the two sides in Marrakech on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the 35th Board of Governors of the Arab Monetary Fund.

The loan is intended to finance the overall deficit in the balance of sheet during 2011, which was the result of the adverse effects of external factors, represented in high cost of imports of petroleum products in addition to high world prices for food commodities.
