Bahrain Hosts 20th Middle East Petroleum and Gas Conference

Bahrain is set to host the 20th Middle East Petroleum and Gas Conference (MPGC) from May 6 to 8. It will be held under the patronage of Energy Minister and National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) chairman Dr Abdulhussain Mirza.

Themed "Middle East Oil and Gas: The Known and Unknown … faces of ambiguity”, MPGC 2012 will examine the cross currents of fragile demand in the West and robust demand in the East, the role played by OPEC in maintaining and checking market imbalances, shifts in refining economics and shutdowns and its impact on lighter crudes and narrowing the sweet-sour differentials. It also aims to exchange information, practical experiences relating to all aspects of engineering, in addition to the operations of exploration and production.
